About
Randall M. Hancock, CPA and Martha S. Echols, CPA are the partners in the firm of Hancock and Echols, P.C. Randall started his practice in 1987 in Gardendale, AL. Martha had her own firm for approximately 14 years before joining forces with Randall in 2006. In late 2007, they purchased a building next to the former Massey Mercantile store which is located in the historic district of downtown Birmingham and moved the firm to the renovated location.
How many CPAs bring their dogs to work everyday? Not many! Being avid dog lovers, their pampered pals provide a lighthearted twist to a very serious subject – taxes! Yes, Tater, the tax dog, is a real live member of this accounting firm and family and is featured prominently in Randall and Martha’s first book, Best Dog-Gone Tax Advice. They found it was only natural to also bring Lucy and Zack into the picture to help present important tax tips throughout the book. The book is available when you visit their office and say hello.
Bringing your four legged “best friends” to work may seem crazy or odd to some people, but don’t let the laid back, casual office fool you. Randall and Martha are two top notch CPAs that pride themselves on using the latest technology to practice their profession so that they can save their clients money, avoid IRS hassles and make the whole tax preparation process fast, simple and painless! They use plain language while helping you understand all aspects of your tax and financial life. They welcome you (whether you have a dog or not) to visit their office.
